TO DO LIST | PHOTO BOOTH
Couples who celebrate their Wedding Ceremony and Reception at Linden House opt for various solutions to ensure that guests are all captured on their special day either with the use of a photographer and or the use of a DIY photo booth.
We have found that setting up a photo booth in the Entrance Hall at Linden House makes for a great source of entertainment for both the younger guests as well as the more senior guests, saves our couples time and effort and comes in under budget.
Pete and Stacey hosted their Wedding Celebration at Linden House in the wintry month of October and chose to use one of our most popular suppliers called Anthology Vintage Furniture Hire who have visited many a time in the past. This wonderful couple had a rustic bohemian feel to their celebration and as such Anthologys wide array of unique items paired perfectly with their concept.
To put their DIY photo booth together they purchased photo clip or peg fairy lights. The Linden House team then wrapped the lights around the Wrought Iron Screen supplied by Anthology and voila! This was then paired with a large vintage brown trunk and wooden wine case. The pair then opted for an INSTAX mini for their guests to take photos with and the result was fabulous.
While Pete and Stacey didn’t opt for a backdrop or for photo props, they did ensure that their photo booth was eye-catching without being distracting. It gave guests a designated area to either take their own photos or look at photos of friends and family that had already been taken. It also looked very attractive even when not in use which is the key to success.
A tip for a successful photo both is to ensure that it is clearly visible and accessible to guests without being a focal point of the event hence the suggestion to place the photo booth in the Entrance Hall. As the team ordinarily serve drinks from the Bar in the Hall the space becomes a place for congregation. It is therefore perfect as it reminds guests who are seeking a top up that there is a photo booth present.
It is also worth noting how important lighting is and in this instance the use of very affordable fairy lights really added that extra bit of sparkle that was required to make the photos even more magical.
