Quip Shed Comedy was established in November 2021 by Lyle Barke & Jocasta King with the mission to bring audiences the best established and emerging acts on the UK comedy circuit.
Quip Shed Comedy continues to host its monthly comedy gig at Linden House in Hammersmith on the first Thursday of every month.
For the April show, Quip Shed have an incredible line-up, featuring Davina Bentley, Eryn Tett, host Jamie Allerton, and an amazing headliner Huge Davies!
The opener, Davina Bentley, draws upon none of her skills as a neuroscientist and lawyer in her stand-up comedy. Davina’s analytical style juxtaposes pop culture references with everyday observations and smart gags. Davina was the winner of the 2020 Banana Cabaret New Acts Competition.

Eryn Tett is an alternative comedian and has been described as “fast moving... and absurd” (Diva Magazine) and “weird but with at least one toe still in observational reality” (Chortle). Eryn's own series of sketches and comedy videos earned her a place on the long and short lists of the Funny Women Comedy Writing and Comedy Shorts Competitions in 2020.
Combining his confident on-stage presence, dark humour, surreal material and one-of-a-kind customised keyboard, our headliner, Huge Davies, has quickly risen to become one of the most exciting and unique acts in the UK.
TV appearances include Harry Hill’s Clubnite (Channel 4), Jonathan Ross’ Comedy Club and Out There (ITV), Hypothetical and Comedians Against Living Miserably (Dave), The Now Show (BBC Radio 4), The Stand Up Sketch Show and The Emily Atack Show (ITV2), Guessable, Comedy Central At The Comedy Store, The Comedy Central Chart Show, and he was part of the first ever musical battle on Roast Battle UK (Comedy Central).
Over lockdown, he performed as part of Comedy Central’s Comedians In Quarantine, and he also wrote and composed the song Luigi’s Lament for the popular Youtube channel Mashed, which has amassed 8 million views and counting…
In August 2018, he composed the music for and performed in Norris & Parker: Burn The Witch at The Pleasance, which was a critical success. In August 2019, his debut solo show The Carpark was a smash hit at the Edinburgh Festival and resulted in a Best Newcomer Nomination. In January 2020, he performed a sell-out run of The Carpark at the Soho Theatre in London.
